Ease into the night ride with a few small but steep hills, which will spread out the riders. As the darkness sets in the first and only water point will be found on top of a long climb. Be careful on the downhill through the vineyards. Catch your breath for a while as you pass through a muddy tunnel, and switch on those lights for the exciting last stretch of single track. Lights are compulsory.
Distance: 80-90kmElevation: 1500m
Stage 2 is meant to be a long day in the saddle. This stage includes the toughest hills in Darling. Views of Darling, and even Table Mountain in the distance will make every climb worthwhile. You`ll pass through farmlands, jeep tracks and natural formed trails. The privilege will be yours as we opened up an old 4 x 4 scenic section, closed for the public.
Distance: 60-70kmElevation: 1500m
We left the best for last as stage 3 will be fast and a bit more technical. The route will take you past the wind farm, !Kwa ttu`s beautiful trails and finish off with the well-known Wolwefontein trail....and a beer of course!
